NPR does wonderful reporting on a very sad story that involves the Indian Child Welfare Act. This act is to protect Native American families, and was enacted after it was discovered that 1/3 of Native American children were being adopted and placed with white parents. But what happens when the Native American birth father tells his hispanic birth mother that he doesn’t want to support the child and he gives up his parental rights? Can that act still protect the father from allowing his child to be adopted?

Amazing. It is news like this that makes us SO proud to be part of the adoption industry. Check out this youth-led campaign designed towards promoting older-child adoption.

This is a cause we really believe in, and bravo to the Huffington Post for sharing this inspiring article about what it’s like to suffer from post-adoption depression.

“The Call” is an important new play about adoption, and the sociological and economic issues inherent to its system. We love when any news or coverage adoption makes it way into the arts. Here, the Wall Street Journal gives the play a glowing review.
