Inspiration

What a month it’s been! January always brings a mixture of emotions. There’s the excitement of the new year and all that a fresh start can bring. But within that is the doldrums of winter — stress over how much money was spent during the holidays, wishing for warm weather and sunshine, instead of snow-piled streets and freezing windchill. Wanting to take a vacation, but knowing that it’s not really practical. Getting the kids back to school. (Okay, we’ll stop.) Suffice it to say: we could all use a little bit of a pick-me-up. Some inspiration to get us moving through to spring.

So for a little weekend sunshine, here are some things brought a smile to our faces this week:

This formula commercial is hilarious and awesome and will absolutely make you cry. What a fabulous message. (Forget that it’s a formula commercial! It is seriously so good.)

Oh man. How sweet is this reunion?

This 5 year old donated her birthday to orphans — she successfully reached her goal of $250, and which is so inspiring. What a sweetheart.

What an amazing story — a woman repays the kindness of her adoptive father by donating a kidney to him — even though they aren’t biologically related, she is a match. What a gift!

Something to think about it when it all feels too big to handle…
