Adoption News Round-up

Today is the first day of National Adoption Month! In celebration, here’s a round-up of the adoption news so far this week:

The adoption tax credit is a hot topic of discussion right now – should it be renewed? Who is it helping? Who is it hurting? The New York Times hosts an interesting discussion. We encourage you to weigh in!

Although open adoptions are more popular than ever, there are still many adopted children who don’t know who their adopted parents are, or if they’ve adopted siblings. Apparently, new DNA tests can help you discover biological relatives easier than ever before. Would you take a test to help you find biological relatives?

Has social media had an impact on your adoption process? CBS Miami featured a great article about the impact of social media on adoption.

We love Adoptive Families’ National Adoption Month activity calendar. This is such an important, exciting day for the adoption world, and it deserves all the recognition it can get.
