After you contact us, we will send you a packet of information to complete and return to our agency. Once you are qualified we will call you to present prospective adoptive families that meet the criteria you have indicated on your application. We typically do not work with “Dear Birthmother” letters as we have learned that initial impressions based on adoptive families qualities and benefits, as opposed to visual images, provide a much stronger and lasting match.

You will have an opportunity to talk with any family you desire. We will coordinate a conference call so that you and the adoptive family can get to know each other and ask questions. After the conference call, your coordinator will call you back to get your impressions of the family — specifically if you feel that they are the right family to raise your child. If you do not feel comfortable with the family or just want to talk with a few more families to make sure, that is not a problem. We will continue to present families and coordinate calls until you feel certain you have found the right family to adopt your child.

Once you select a family, contact information is shared between you and the family and the process of adoption begins. You will have the opportunity to contact your family directly whenever you choose. Our agency will still be involved in the process and will check in from time to time and certainly we will always be available to answer any questions you may have.
