Adoption News Roundup

We hope you had a wonderful long weekend! Here are some of the stories that caught our eye over the past week:

Heart of a Birthmom, a devotional guide for birth mothers, is a wonderful gift to pass along to the birth mothers in your life. Of course it’s important that you make sure they’re open to such information—no one wants to feel like they’re being preached to—but it’s a good book to keep on hand for when the occasion arises. We could all use a little guidance.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Its color is gold, and this mommy blogger is going to be doing a month-long installment on her blog, featuring stories about children with cancer…sharing awareness, bringing important stories to life and giving these children the voice they deserve. This is definitely one to follow and share.

This Adoptive Families discussion board features the stories and woes of single parents who are consistently asked “where is the father?” “Where is the mother?” As if their families could only possibly be complete if two parents were involved.
