It’s been a tough week, filled with fear, devastation, uncertainty, unrest, and sad confusion. It’s a hard time to be a parent, trying to explain to our children why it seems the world is exploding with hate. For those of us raising black and brown families, it’s even more frightening — how do we teach our kids how to live in this world? To be safe, to be who they are, to not be afraid, to shine their glory in a world that just cannot get it together.
We stand up for you. We love you. And we absolutely believe, with every fiber of our being, that Black Lives Matter. May you all find a moment of peace, sanctity with your families, and time to process, think, discuss, and contemplate this weekend.
