Ed Nahas

I am devastated to announce the passing of Ed Nahas, an Iowa-based adoption investigator who worked for One True Gift as our administrator, and personally conducted the home studies for my two children, Jade and Justice. He is especially close to my heart because he mentored me when I started One True Gift in 2003 — without him, the adoption of my children, and the dream of creating this agency would not be possible.

Ed was an exceptional person, as his passionate obituary shares. He left behind a large and wonderful family, and our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with them and everyone Ed touched during this time. If you know Ed, and would like to attend either his funeral or visitation, here is some information about times and locations (these are also listed in the obituary):

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Iles Funeral Homes—Dunn’s Chapel concluding with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29 at Sacred Heart Church in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

I feel fortunate to have been touched by Ed, and his incredible work for the adoption world. The world has lost a wonderful man — he will be truly missed.
