Brittany

Brittany is from a small town in Western, KY where she is currently an elementary school teacher. She loves being able to play Mario Kart with her and her wife’s son Matthew who is nine years old. Brittany is a very laid back, down to Earth person who will literally give the shirt off her back to someone else who is in need. She is very loving, compassionate, and has a very nurturing nature to her. She loves being able to travel, try new things, go to concerts/plays/sporting events, and spending time with her family whenever she can.

Ashley

Ashley is from a small town in Ohio and is currently a middle school teacher and an instructional coach helping younger teachers in Kentucky. Ashley loves spending time with her family, playing Super Mario Deluxe with her and her wife’s nine year old son Matthew, getting to travel, going to concerts/sporting events/musicals, and checking out new bookstores. Ashley is very loyal, beyond generous, has a very caring nature, and wants to always make sure that those around her feel safe, welcomed, and loved. She also loves being able to take their dogs on hikes out by the lake.

We want to express to you just how thankful we are that you are considering us as parents for your child. We want you to know that our hearts are open not just to your child, but to you as well. We hope to build a relationship with you so that your child knows their biological family and heritage, and we want to be able to share with you the milestones that your child is accomplishing. We completely believe that your child should know where they came from because it is such a vital and important part of who they will become in the future. We are in complete awe of the strength and courage that you have in order to make this decision. We promise you that your child will be loved with every ounce of our beings, they will grow up in a home that is warm, loving, safe, comforting, full of laughter, and with memories that are being made daily. We promise that your child will be able to grow up to be who they want to be, they will have endless opportunities to thrive in whatever they choose in life, and they will have our support no matter what. We understand that every situation is different, but our priority above all else will be to ensure that your child grows up in a place where they feel safe, supported, loved, and cared for by those they are surrounded by. We are deeply humbled by your actions and are excited about the possibility of being able to build a meaningful relationship with you. Our Home

We currently live in a three bedroom, two bathroom open concept home that is very spacious, warm, and inviting. In May, we will be moving into our new home that is finishing up being built. It is our dream home that we have been so very fortunate to be able to build. It will have five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a basement, sunroom, and a very open concept kitchen/living room/dining area. Our home is always filled with music, laughter, friends, family, and most importantly love. Our home is somewhere that people come often and love to be in because they feel free to be themselves, they feel comfortable, and they know they are always surrounded by people who truly love them and care for them. Game nights are something that occurs regularly whether it is an awesome game of Sorry! Or a round of Mario Kart on the switch, we love being able to spend time together and play games.

Our Pets

We absolutely love our pets that are a part of our family. We have a 10 year old Lab mix named Frank who is a big teddy bear. He loves to play fetch, be outside, or just be cuddled up with one of his people. Oakley is our 7 year old miniature Australian Shepherd. She loves to be outside, go for walks, cuddling up next to one of us, and she loves going for rides in our Jeep. We also have two orange tabby cats named Blaze and Fuego. Blaze is 7 years old and Fuego is almost 2 years old. Our cats love to be around their people and oftentimes you will see one or both of them cuddled up next to our son taking a nap. Fuego loves playing with different cat toys as well. The last pet we have is a Fancy Bearded Dragon that our son Matthew inherited from one of his favorite teachers that retired. Lizzie is four years old and loves to be held or try different types of fruit/lettuce.

Our Faith

Our faith is something that truly means the world to us. We are a Christian family that believes in the Lord with our whole entire heart. Every single night we have a devotional that we complete as a family as well as a time to reflect upon what we have talked about in our devotional. Afterwards we pray together as a family and allow each person in the family a chance to pray out loud if they would like to do so. Having these open conversations as a family has really helped our family to grow in an immense way.
