I grew up in Iowa and moved to Utah for my senior year of high school. I met my husband in late 2011, and we’ve been together ever since. We bought our home in 2012 and have spent the last several years renovating it and turning into a wonderful home. My husband and I have been trying to start our family for over 10 years now, and after multiple miscarriages we are ready to move on to the next step in starting our family by adopting. On a side note, I was adopted when I was 6 months old, so adoption holds a special place in my heart.
Tyler grew up in a small town in Utah. Being raised in a small town meant he learned how to do a little bit of everything from plumbing, to electrical, to mechanic work and more. He has spent the last several years working on remodeling our home and making it exactly what we want. He works hard to provide for us and to help make our dreams come true.
All we can say is thank you so much from the bottom of our heart for the most wonderful gift ever. After several miscarriages and so far no luck on the adoption front, we are so appreciative of any and all considerations for us as parents. We promise to love, cherish and completely envelope ourselves in raising your child in a strong and happy home.
With me being adopted at such a young age myself, I offer a unique and valuable perspective to building a relationship with any children we have the honor of raising. Constant communication, time set aside for individual time with the child(ren) and real/sincere conversations.
Discipline is a necessary tool in parenting. And although there is room for gentile parenting, I do believe that strict and distinct boundaries need to be set first before any type of discipline can be used. I don’t believe that physical discipline is something that benefits children, so that being said, constant reinforcing of rules, guidelines, and appropriate behaviors along with appropriate discipline for the situation is what is best.
