Two new things to share!

You know us, we love sharing our new finds with you, be it websites, books, films, or a really great video. There’s so much wonderful material about the adoption world out there, and we’d love to read and see it all!

Here are two really great things we stumbled upon today:

The Declassified Adoptee: This wonderful, extremely resourceful blog is written by an adult adoptee, Amanda, who has two children of her own. She has information for adult adoptees, adoptees who are original parents, adoptees who are adoptive parents, original parents and adoptive parents. She’s an excellent writer who fills her posts with lengthy insights and honest musings about the adoption world and various situations that relate to it, as well as videos and imagery rife with interesting information and perspectives. One we’re excited to have discovered, and even more thrilled to share!

The Middle Mom: This book is different than others we usually feature, because it’s written about foster care from a foster mom’s perspective. But there are so many links between the adoption and foster worlds, and we feel that an understanding of one is fundamental to the understanding of the other. Her story is inspiring, and it’s good to read and learn about the parenting experiences of another.

Have you read or discovered any interesting adoption sites or books recently? We love when you send your picks along!
